Dolly, Davy, & Dandridge History Photo Tour

“Begin your day with a smartphone photo workshop at the Country Tonite Theater, where you’ll learn tips to capture unforgettable moments throughout the day.

From there, we journey deep into the Smoky Mtn. hollers to Locust Ridge where we will find the actual cabin where Dolly Parton was born. Tucked away from the tourist path, this rare stop offers a truly personal view of Dolly’s humble beginnings and the landscape that inspired her music.

Next, we head north through scenic East Tennessee roads to the Davy Crockett Birthplace Museum, honoring one of Tennessee’s most iconic frontiersmen. Here, you’ll walk the grounds, visit a reconstructed cabin, and learn about the “King of the Wild Frontier.”

Start your day with a fun photo workshop at Country Tonite Theater, then head deep into the Smoky Mountains to a cabin adjacent to where Dolly Parton was born. Next, travel scenic roads to the Davy Crockett Birthplace Museum to explore the legacy of Tennessee’s legendary frontiersman. Enjoy a hearty Southern lunch at The Little Dutch Restaurant in Morristown, a local favorite. Afterward, visit Dandridge, Tennessee’s second-oldest town, named for Martha Dandridge Washington, and tour its historic courthouse & museum.  Return to Sevierville for a guided walking tour that includes the famous Dolly Statue and her first paid singing venue.  End your tour with a sweet stop at Red’s Ice Cream Fountain, where a young Dolly used to hang out. This full-day experience blends heritage, history, and heartwarming memories perfect for capturing with your camera and cherishing for a lifetime.
